Our turning blanks are surfaced hit or miss at 1/16" less than the given dimensions, and are guaranteed to clean up at 1/4" less than the given dimensions.

By surfacing our stock this way, we maximize the thickness specifically for lathe turning, ensuring you have the greatest possible volume of wood to work with. Because we prioritize yield over a finished surface, please note that some faces may remain rough or show skip-dressing.
