Cedar wood is extremely popular with woodworkers given it is very durable, resists decay & rotting and also holds up well to weather conditions in the outdoors. Cedar naturally resists rot over time, for upwards of 40 years/ It is also sound resistant, so it is a wonderful option for fencing and exterior barriers for sound.
