Ash Lumber

White Ash is a ring porous hardwood and is fairly hard, heavy, and very tough. Ash features a light colored, nearly white sapwood; heartwood is typically tan or light brown. Ash has excellent bending and finishing qualities.

Ash lumber tends to have a lighter color than most woods along with usually having wider rings. Ash lumber is popular for furniture products given the durability of the lumber and the ability of it to stainches White ash lumber is specifically great at taking and holding a stain, thus making it highly desirable. Given the lumber’s propensity to take a stain, ash lumber is popular for flooring, doors, cabinetry, and many more projects.
