Collection: Red Oak Lumber

Red Oak is a timeless, American classic used in furniture, flooring, cabinetry, joinery and architectural millwork. The sapwood of Red Oak is white to very light brown, while the heartwood is reddish brown.

With a light brown to reddish tint, red oak lumber is one of the most widely used species for woodworking. The grain of the wood tends to be straight. The rot-resistance and durability of the wood is not as great as its counterpart white oak. Red oak lumber produces quality products with hand and machine tools. The wood responds well to glues and stains. In general, red oak lumber finishes very well.
